Isabelle Bocher-Pianka has over 25 years of international Management experience in the Pharmaceutical and Consumer goods industries, leading cross-functional and country teams across the globe. From her previous Senior Vice President role, leading the Global Neurosciences Franchise at Ipsen, she was appointed to the new transformation role of Chief Patient Affairs Officer reporting to Global Medical Affairs.
Karen has over 20 years’ experience in medical communications and patient communication across the whole spectrum of a product lifecycle, including patient websites, advisory boards with patients, clinical trial plain-language summaries and publication plain-language summaries. Karen is currently Head of Medical Strategy, Growth and Development at CMC Affinity, McCann Health Medical Communications. She has published on and led award winning research on the topic of plain-language summaries. Research on ‘Where are biomedical research PLS?’ won the award for the poster most reflective of the ISMPP 2019 meeting theme, as well as a creative award for using an AI chatbot to help delegates understand the research. Karen has also written newsletter articles on how to involve patients in publication planning & clinical trial research.
Roz is a physician transforming healthcare quality and efficiency by partnering with patients who are experts in what they need and want.  She applies human centered design to deliver on health and business outcomes, and create and communicate with stakeholder communities. Patient centeredness has been a common thread through her clinical practice, academic, industry roles in Medical Affairs, Medicine Development, the global role she created in Pfizer's Chief Medical Office, as an independent consultant, at Theravance Biopharma, and now as VP, Head, Global Patient Advocacy & Engagement at BioMarin Pharmaceuticals Inc..
